Only Picofy Provider in Wichita

Tattoo Removal Picofy Laser Tattoo Removal

Wichita’s only Picofy laser. Better clearance, fewer sessions

Open Mon–Fri, 10 AM–5 PM — Wed & Thu until 7 PM. Working during the day? Saturday visits by appointment.

Picofy picosecond laser aiming beam passing over a fading tattoo during a removal session

If you’ve researched tattoo removal, you already know the technology matters more than anything else, and Skincredible is the only clinic in Wichita with the Picofy picosecond laser. Picofy delivers ultra-short pulses that shatter tattoo ink into far smaller fragments than the Q-switched lasers still used at most removal clinics, which means better clearance per session, fewer total sessions, and less damage to the surrounding skin. Whether you want complete removal, fading for a cover-up, or lightening of a specific area, we build a physician-supervised plan around your tattoo, and explain every step of it to you beforehand.

You may be a good candidate for Tattoo Removal if…

  • You want a tattoo gone, or faded for a cover-up
  • Another clinic’s laser stopped making progress
  • Your tattoo has blue, green, or bright colors
  • You want one name or one part of a piece removed
  • You can come back every 6–8 weeks

Sound like you? Your first consultation is free — we’ll talk through your goals together and map out a plan that fits them.

The only Picofy tattoo removal in Wichita

Most tattoo removal still runs on nanosecond Q-switched lasers: reliable 2010s technology, but slower and harsher than what’s now possible. Skincredible is the only provider in the Wichita area offering Picofy picosecond removal (the same platform honored with the 2026 ELLE Tools & Treatments Award), and clients come to us from across the metro because fewer, more effective sessions easily justify the trip. If a previous clinic plateaued on your tattoo, picosecond technology is usually the answer.

How laser tattoo removal works

Tattoo ink sits in the dermis, where the particles are too large for your immune system to clear. That’s why tattoos are permanent. Laser pulses fragment that ink into particles small enough for your lymphatic system to carry away over the weeks between sessions. The shorter the pulse, the smaller the fragments: Picofy’s picosecond pulses shatter ink into a fine “dust” that clears dramatically better than the coarse fragments left by older lasers.

Why picosecond beats Q-switched

Three reasons. Clearance: smaller fragments mean visibly more fading per session. Many tattoos need several fewer sessions overall. Color range: stubborn blues, greens, and vivid modern inks that Q-switched lasers struggle with respond far better to picosecond energy. Skin safety: because the effect is photoacoustic rather than heat-driven, there’s less thermal damage to surrounding skin, which means lower scarring risk and safer treatment across skin tones.

Removal, fading, or cover-up prep

Not every plan aims for total removal. Fading a tattoo by a few shades can open up dramatically better cover-up options for your artist, often in just two to four sessions. Some clients want only one name or section lightened out of a larger piece; precise picosecond targeting makes that practical. Tell us your goal at the consultation and we’ll design the series, and the budget, to match.

What a session is like, and aftercare

Sessions are quick: small tattoos take just minutes, and even large pieces are usually under 30 minutes. Most people compare the sensation to getting the tattoo, but much briefer; we use cooling and numbing options for comfort. Afterward, expect redness, swelling, and sometimes pinpoint frosting for a few days. We send you home with simple aftercare instructions (keep it clean, covered, and out of the sun). Sessions are spaced 6–8 weeks apart so your body can clear the fragmented ink between visits.

How many sessions, and what it costs

Most tattoos take six to ten or more sessions, depending on ink density, colors, depth, age, and location: smaller or faded work tends toward the lower end of that range, while dense professional color pieces need more. Because Picofy clears more ink per session than older lasers, total treatment counts, and often total cost, run lower than a Q-switched course elsewhere. Pricing is by tattoo size, quoted exactly at your consultation, with series packages available.

Good to Know

Frequently asked questions.

Is Skincredible really the only Picofy provider in Wichita?

Yes. Skincredible is the only clinic in the Wichita area offering the Picofy picosecond laser. For picosecond-class tattoo removal, your alternatives mean traveling well outside the area; that’s why clients come to us from across the metro.

How many sessions does tattoo removal take?

Most tattoos take six to ten or more sessions, depending on the ink density, colors, age, depth, and location of your tattoo. Smaller or faded work may finish toward the lower end of that range; dense, colorful professional pieces take more. Because Picofy clears more ink per session than older lasers, counts still run meaningfully lower than a Q-switched course. We’ll give you an honest estimate at your consultation.

Does laser tattoo removal hurt?

Most people compare it to the feeling of getting the tattoo: quick and intense but brief. Sessions are much shorter than tattooing, and we use cooling and numbing options to keep you comfortable.

Will the tattoo disappear completely?

Many tattoos can be removed to the point of being unnoticeable; some leave a faint shadow depending on ink type and skin tone. Picosecond technology achieves the best clearance rates available, and we set realistic expectations up front.

Can you remove blue, green, and colored ink?

Yes. This is one of Picofy’s biggest advantages. Blues and greens that plateau under Q-switched lasers respond far better to picosecond pulses. Bring your tattoo in and we’ll assess every color in it at your consultation.

Will tattoo removal leave a scar?

With picosecond technology, proper settings, and good aftercare, scarring risk is low, much lower than with older heat-based lasers. Existing scarring under the tattoo (from the original tattooing) may become visible as ink clears.

How much does tattoo removal cost in Wichita?

Pricing is based on tattoo size, with series packages available. You’ll get an exact quote at your consultation. Keep in mind that fewer total sessions with Picofy often means a lower total cost than a longer Q-switched course elsewhere.

What aftercare does tattoo removal require?

Keep the area clean, covered, and out of the sun for the first days; avoid picking at any blistering or flaking; and skip pools, hot tubs, and intense exercise for 48 hours. We provide complete written aftercare after every session.

Before your appointment

  • Avoid tanning and sun exposure; wear SPF 30+ outdoors in the weeks before treatment. Tanned or sunburned skin cannot be treated safely.
  • Ask about numbing cream if you’d like added comfort; most clients describe the sensation as a mild snap or tingle.

After your treatment

  • Downtime is minimal. Mild redness and slight swelling are common and typically resolve within a few hours to a couple of days.
  • Most clients return to normal activities right away.
  • Wear daily SPF to protect your results and help prevent new pigment from forming.

What to expect

  • Pigmentation and skin-rejuvenation goals typically take 2–4 sessions; acne scars 3–6 sessions; tattoo removal 6–10+ sessions depending on size, color, and depth.
  • Your provider builds a personalized treatment plan at your consultation.
